Sarah Lymer

Sarah is the Headteacher of a very large Urban Primary School and the Chief Executive Officer of a newly established cross phase MAT in the North East. Sarah has a longstanding and relentless desire to improve outcomes, experiences and opportunities for children in some of the most deprived areas of the country. She believes that the Multi Academy Trust system of school improvement is an effective vehicle with which to discharge the duties as laid out in our Articles of Association, due to the benefits of working collaboratively and collegiately and ensuring the best trained staff are leading learning for the children within Northern Lights Learning Trust. High aspirations for pupils and proactive succession planning in leadership, are 2 key features of our vision that Sarah strongly aligns with and feels she contributes positively and proactively to the Trust Board in delivering on this.

Outside of work Sarah is an avid supporter and season ticket holder at Middlesbrough football Club and is a member of Middlesbrough Community Choir. She has 2 teenagers who very much keep her on her toes.
