
Judy Stanyard is an experienced primary leader who has worked in education since 2000. Originally trained at Manchester University, Judy moved to the North East in 2003 and has worked in areas with high levels of deprivation and Pupil Premium. Judy started at Tilery Primary School in 2022 and has used her knowledge and expertise to develop the school ethos and vision around supporting pupils to achieve to the very best of their abilities despite the many barriers they may face to their learning.
Judy’s specialism within schools has always been around curriculum development and supporting EAL pupils. She was asked to become a SLE working alongside primary, secondary and further education establishments in the North East to support the development of teaching for EAL learners. Judy has had articles published and was invited to be speak at a National Conference regarding her work.
Judy feels passionately that all children are entitled to an outstanding education to suit their needs and abilities. She has worked to help improve the schools she has worked in to ensure that all children can be successful and flourish.
