The Standards Committee is made up of Trustees of the Trust, all of whom are eligible to attend. The Directors of Primary & Secondary Education & Trust Lead for Attendance, Safeguarding & Behaviour will be in attendance to present information. Any other Education Team members will attend meetings as required to present information to the Committee. The quorum of the Committee is 3 Trustees.
The delegated responsibility of the Committee is to scrutinise educational level attainment and outcomes in all our schools. It also ensures the best outcomes for all groups of pupils, including provision for SEND pupils and ensuring all of our pupils flourish, including through behaviour, attitudes and culture in our trust. It reviews educational performance provided in a range of ways and provides challenge to the Trust around ensuring the best provision and outcomes for all of our pupils. It considers these things through the lens of the vision and values of our Trust, including provision for our Church Schools in the Trust, looking at the Voice of the Child, including the work of our Trust Pupil Parliament, and our most vulnerable pupils, all within the context of the needs of their local communities.

The Committee has the following powers delegated to them from the Board of Trustees:
The focus of the group will be on School improvement and will encompass Curriculum, teaching and learning, standards and pupil outcomes and all related matters to the smooth running of the academies.
- To monitor & review the performance and attainment of pupils across the Trust, including groups of pupils, along with monitoring planned actions and impact
- To ensure the curriculum offer is relevant and appropriate for pupils
- To ensure that a broad and balanced curriculum is in place that helps protect pupils against extremism and promotes community cohesion & all statutory responsibilities are adhered to
- Advise the MAT Board of curriculum statutory obligations, where appropriate
- Contribute towards the review, revision and monitoring of the Trust Development and Improvement Plans and Trust Evaluation
- To contribute to due diligence and growth of Trust
